We are 4 independent speech therapists working within the school: Florence, Louise, Sabrina and Carol. We take care of children individually, so that rehabilitation is as optimal as possible.

At the Institute of the Daughters of Mary, we mainly assess and treat learning disorders: dyslexia (reading), dysorthography (spelling), dyscalculia (calculus), dyspraxia (gestures) and dysgraphia (graphics). We also intervene at the level of oral language (articulation, speech, vocabulary, comprehension and expression).

To re-educate these different areas, we often have recourse to play. Indeed, this allows the child to learn while taking pleasure, to reduce the anxiety that he may feel in the face of his difficulties, and to give him back. confidence in himself and in his abilities.

Taking charge in school has several advantages. We can work in connection with the learning carried out in class. We discuss with the teaching staff the strengths and weaknesses of the child. In addition, thanks to the new decree on education, we can work with his teacher to set up reasonable accommodations in the classroom.
